The 5th Year was started by a group of friends who grew up together in the Bay Area. After four years of grueling field research in their respective colleges they returned home to join the real world. When they realized that their local bars were filled with hordes of competitive douchebags they started planning their own creative parties to attract fun people like themselves. They built a huge network of funaholics, they still throw events and still publicly ridicule douchebags.

The two founders, Dominic Russo and Connor Pritchard, currently live and work in Los Angeles while the rest of their friends make fun of them for living there.
